I am calling your bluff. Under no circumstances would any funeral home actually have the flowers delivered to the place where they also keep human remains. You are lying when you said every funeral home has a room that doubles as both a floral room and a prep room. Please, that is just ludacis and I hope no one actually believes this public display of stupidity.
Lastly, not only are the rooms where the bodies are kept under lock and key, under no circumstances are any unauthorized personnel allowed near the bodies in the prep room.

I love that you have your dream figured out!

But…

A town so small isn’t likely to have enough of a market to support a fine flower shop, unless it’s in a metropolitan area with other towns or a city. Most very small towns are largely rural. Your customers will be looking more for a plant nursery for crops. And private nurseries have been pushed out by large chains, such as Wal-mart and Home Depot, that can offer much lower prices.

Your shop idea may still work if you find a very upscale, moneyed community to have it in.

It’s still worth studying. Your business major will give you good skills for any business you do. You can probably do a double minor. No need to decide in stone right now, is there? Get to college first, take a class or two in each, then decide.

I would probably apply for “advertised temp position”. Of course, temp doesn’t mean that it has to stay that way, if you do an outstanding job, there can always be a permanent job that comes open. Walmart may not be your “dream job” but they are a huge company that is hiring right now when many companies are laying off or closing down entirely. So I wouldn’t discount working with them as “no big deal”, you want one of those positions not for what it appears to be now, but for what it could mean in the future. I believe that they offer some great benefits, down the road, such as medical, scholarships, flexible scheduling, etc.
You might make a note of some of the areas you prefer to work in, in case they offer you 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice as is the custom with some employers.
Best of luck with that ~ any job is a good job to have with 10-12% nationwide unemployment.

You can always call HR and ask. or just go up there and ask them. they have the kiosks to apply. Perhaps you will get lucky and they will do the interview at the same time.
